On February 14, 2019, at approximately 2:18 P.M. a Laredo Police Department Patrol Officer initiated a traffic stop at the 19000 block of F.M. 1472 of a white in color tractor and white trailer. While speaking with the driver, the officer received consent to search the contents of the trailer after noticing the door handle may have been tampered with. Once consent was provided to the officer, he opened the trailer to find multiple bundles packaged consistent with how narcotics is packaged. A K-9 was requested to the location and gave an alert to the presence of narcotics.

A total of 594 bundles were seized weighing a combined 14,176lbs. The driver was taken into custody and the case was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
