UPDATE: Saunders St. has now been reopened for normal traffic flow.

Laredo Police Department is at the scene of an accident at the intersection of Saunders St and Lexington Ave. Due to the accident, all lanes of travel on Saunders by this intersection have been closed. Please use caution when traveling in the area and seek alternate routes if possible.

After four days, the search for Myriam has come an unfortunate end. The Laredo Police Department has released the following statement in regards to the missing person Myriam Camarillo:

On July 12, 2019, a deceased person was located on the 100 block of St. Pierre. The discovery was made after the Missing Persons Unit investigators were following up leads into the disappearance of Myriam Camarillo. During a search of the residence, the body of a deceased female was located inside the residence.

The body of the female was positively identified as that of 27-year-old Myriam Camarillo who had previously been reported as missing. Initial information indicated that a male subject, identified as Joseph Steven Carrizales (Age 26), had been in the company of Camarillo at the residence located on St. Pierre prior to her death.

Carrizales was then placed under arrest and charged with Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence F/2. Carrizales was then remanded to Webb County Jail where he is being held pending bond to be set.

The body of Camarillo was turned over to the Webb County Medical Examiner for an autopsy. The case remains under investigation pending the results of the autopsy report. Additional details will be released as they become available.

The one at McPherson and San Isidro Pkwy too. It stopped working for about 3 seconds then all of the lights turned green on every side. One car almost T-boned another.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a patient driver in Laredo I’ve worked all over the state and Laredo has to rank up there at the top of worst drivers in the state
